I was supposed to be working this morning, and just checked Dan Hamoney's site because I recently read The Two Chinatowns and wondered if Dan had his own site. I have read every Mahoney book and enjoyed them all. He is among my favorite authors (T. Jefferson Parker, Michael Connelly, Ian Rankin, Peter Robinson, Archer Mayor, a few others). Then I saw news of a forthcoming volume -- Gibraltar. And I started reading. And nine chapters later I realized I was never going to finish my work on time today. Oh well, it was worth it. Like always, I will buy the hardcover from my independent bookstore the day it is released. Now if I could just find another 90 minutes of work day today, and another bookcase . . . .
