I read all Captain Mahoneys books and can tell you that he is the most factual author around as well as the one whose stories are the most interesting. While taking artistic license he never forgets from where he came. I hope he will wriet a book on NYPD politics and hierarchy but it might be too boring. Dan should have reached Assistant Chief (two stars ) at least but he was not a "politician" or a brown noser like a Charlie Gunther.
